It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sylvia Ann Spong (Kannapolis, North Carolina), who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred M. Spong and Helen E. Spong; and her son Boyd E. Cox, Jr.. She is survived by: her daughter Suzanne Irvin; and her grandchildren, Philip W. Irvin (Brooke) and Kodi Cox. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
