We are sad to announce that on July 6, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Richard Wayne Scercy Sr. of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Hazel Scercy and Jeanette Scercy; and his siblings, Barry Scercy, Randy Scercy, Cynthia Stone and Henry Boone.

He is survived by: his wife Shelia Phillips Scercy; his children, Rick Scercy, Jr. (Nancy), Wendy Scercy Sinyard (Eric), Jeff Scercy and Kelly Bright; his siblings, Ted Scercy and Betty Keith (Michael); his grandchildren, Tyler Smith, Alyssa Scercy, Madison Scercy and Cameron Bright; and also Michael Knight. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
