She was predeceased by: her parents, Isaac Lafayette Brindle and Katherine Elizabeth Lewis Brindle; her husband James Alfred Brown; her brother Jerry Brindle; and her great grandchild Leary Cowden.
She is survived by: her children, Katrina Sorenson (Warren) of Kannapolis and Steve Brown (Laura) of China Grove; and her brother Wilbur Brindle of Florida. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Drive, Tampa, Fl. 33607.
