He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Allen Hall Sr. and Esther Sain Hall; his wife Dorothy Crisco Hall; his daughter Terry Hall Morris; and his siblings, Bill Hall and Kathleen Merriman.

He is survived by: his son Joe Allen Hall III (Kim) of Kannapolis; his grandsons, Jonathan Allen Hall and Joshua Lee Hall (Katie); his great grandchild Walker Hall; and his sister Doris Leaser (Dub) of Mooresville. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
