He is survived by: his children, Charles Hallman of Kannapolis, Hugh Hallman (Gayle) of Greeneville, TN, Christine Perkins of Kannapolis and Karen Hardy of Kannapolis; his grandchildren, Daniel Hallman, Jessica McGalliard, Samuel Hallman, Harry Hallman, Micah Perkins, Kristi Sutton, Grace Perkins, Lindsey Hardy and Adam Hardy; and his great grandchildren, Elora, Raylon, Chandler, Taylor, Makenzi, Joel Jr. and Owen.
