James Franklin Day Sr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Franklin Day Sr. of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Charlotte, North Carolina, who passed away on January 13, 2024, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Jane Marlene Day (Sullivan); his parents, Roy Elmo Day and Minnie Lee Day (Pruitt); and his brother Robert Day. He is survived by: his children, James Franklin Day, Jr. and Jennifer Morrow Day-McCoy; and his grandchildren, Hannah Elizabeth Pauley (Kaleb Shulda), Emily Ruth Pauley (Davide Traettino) and Jason Bradley Williams. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Hospice & Palliative and Meals on Wheels, both serving Cabarrus County, in his memory.
