She was predeceased by: her parents, Marvin Eugene Upright and Daisy Morris Upright; her former husband King Junior Fortson; her husband Barnard Lee Boatwright; her children, David Fortson and Vickie Jo Fortson; and her siblings, Dot Rumple, Coleen Upright and Gene Upright.
She is survived by: her daughter Janice Cruse; her daughter-in-law Renee Fortson; her grandchildren, Amber Cruse, Danielle Furr (Shane) and Ross Ervin; her sister-in-law Mary Jo Upright; and also Boots.
