It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Elvington of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Mount Holly, North Carolina, who passed away on January 10, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Edward and Evelyn Ingle Toomey; her son Tony Dean Wiley; her husbands, James Michael "Mike" Wiley, Jr. and Kenneth Rogers Elvington; and her siblings, Regis Toomey Stone and Bobby Ray "Butch" Toomey.
She is survived by: her children, Terry Michael Wiley (Carolyn) and Sandy Wiley Summerlin (Joe); her grandchildren, Laura Jane Wiley, Charles Michael Wiley (Laura Marion), Adam McKinley Summerlin (Athena), Wesley Ryan Summerlin (Hannah) and Krista Danielle Wiley; her great grandchildren, Weslyn, Sam, Caroline, Riley, McKinley and Britley; her siblings, Perry Toomey (Betty), Pat Toomey (Ann), Peggy Toomey Williams (Bill) and Earline Toomey Handsel; her siblings-in-law, Henry Wiley (Betty) and Mary Lillian Pass (Jerry); her stepchildren, Tim Elvington, Kenny Elvington and Cynthia Elvington; and her stepgrandchildren, Alana Elvington Morgan and Bryant Elvington.
