It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Bettye Sue Harris of Kannapolis, North Carolina, born in Cleveland, North Carolina, who passed away on June 26, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cunningham Anthony and Roxie Mae Littlejohn Anthony; her husband Robert Jessie Harris; her daughter Bonita Harris; and her siblings, Mary L. Anthony Stancill, Sylvia A. Brawley, Grover L. Anthony and James Anthony (Tony).
She is survived by: her daughters, Jacqueline L. Anthony of Kannapolis, NC and Daphne Harris; her grandchildren, Phillip Anthony and April Anthony-Lucas (Paul); her great grandchildren, Bianca Wilson, Jordan Anthony and Destanie Black; and her siblings, Geraldine Anthony of Sequin, TX, Dr. Ruby Anthony White (Marvin) of Ennis, TX, Margaret A. Forte of Baltimore, MD, Diane A. Berry of Charlotte, NC, Otto Anthony of Charlotte, NC, Everett O. Anthony (Charles) of Covington, GA, Ronnie G. Anthony of Kannapolis, NC and Larry G. Anthony of Atlanta, GA. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
