He was predeceased by: his parents, Laura Whitesell Clapp and Ben Dexter Clapp. He is survived by: his wife Doris Johnson Clapp; his son Chris Clapp (Leslie); his grandson Carson Clapp of Wilmington, NC; and his brothers, Gerry Clapp of Charlotte, NC and Bradley Clapp.
Due to the pandemic, a family gathering will be conducted at a later time.
