She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Cox-Hall and Annie Cox-Hall; her son Ty Thompson Jr.; her grandson T. W. Hood; and her great grandchild Libby Hood.

She is survived by: her husband Ty Thompson; her sister Shirley Sherrill; her children, B. J. Thompson, Cindy Hood (Terry) and Timothy Thompson (Bryony); her nephew David Bullins (Lori); her grandchildren, Jason McMahan (Whitney), Ian Thompson (Christina) and Kavy Blahnik-Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Treysen Hood, Jameson McMahan and Devin Tucker.
