He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Jackson Hogue and Maude Robbins Hogue; and his siblings, Charles Hogue, Carrie Jane Hogue, Brenda Thurman and Helen Hogue.
He is survived by: his wife Doris Jones Hogue; his daughter Melissa Reeves (Scott) of Newport; his siblings, Dale Hogue (Linda) of Bryson City, Rick Hogue of Denton, Henry Hogue of Archdale, Arvil Hogue (Angie) of Bryson City, Leonard Hogue (Johnnie Mae) of Archdale, Gary Hogue (Renee) of Trinity and Muriel Tabor of Bryson City; and his grandchildren, Kasey Reeves and Kylie Ballard (Chris).
