He was predeceased by: his parents, Guy Haynes Sr. and Helen Pritchard Haynes; and his brothers, Guy Haynes Jr. and Ricky Haynes. He is survived by: his wife Lisa McCall Haynes; and his siblings, Dennis Haynes of Lenoir, Donald Haynes of Lenoir, Penny Bumgarner of Granite Falls and Brenda Joe Johnson of Sawmills. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
