She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford Gill and Myrtle Townsend Gill; and her sister Eunice Jones. She is survived by: her husband Clarence "Jim" Rhymer; her daughter Samantha Greene (Bobby, Jr.); and her grandson Horatio Greene of Hudson.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
