He is survived by: his children, Nicki Dickerson (Shannon) of Morganton and Brian Junior Helton of Hudson; his stepson Christopher Lee Carswell of Hudson; his grandchildren, Alyssa Helton, Cody Helms, Karrie Duvall, Greyson Carswell and Zander; his great grandchild Raylee Mae Duvall; and his siblings, Lillie Johnson (Thomas) of Granite Falls and Roy Helton of Baton.
