He was predeceased by: his parents, James Calvin Greer and Vera Church Greer; his wife Grace Craig Greer; his children, Gary Lynn Greer and Doris Ann Greer Potter; his granddaughter Leslie Elaine Potter; and his sisters, Aileen Pennell, Mozelle Watson, Opal Killian, Shirley Johnson, Peggy Johnson and Janice Rich.
He is survived by: his sons, Jimmy David Greer (Becky) and Tommy Lee Greer (Mindy); his grandsons, Jason Greer (Melissa), Jonathan Greer (Erica) and Zachary Greer (Maggie); and his stepgrandson Tyler Norville (Brittany). He is also survived by twelve great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
