He was predeceased by: his parents, Kyle Griffin and Geneva Smith Griffin. He is survived by: his daughter Tinea M. Ray (Jeffrey) of Lenoir; and his brothers, Martin Griffin of Lenoir, Tony Griffin of Lenoir and Charles Griffin of Charlotte. He is also survived by three grandchildren.
