It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ervin Theodore Cannon of Hudson, North Carolina, who passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Cannon and Merinda Turnmire Cannon; his wife Peggy Hamby Cannon; his sons, James E. Cannon and Tony E. Cannon; and his brothers, Ralph Turnmire and Wayne Cannon.
He is survived by: his sons, Richard Cannon (Lisa) of Belmont, NC and Chris Cannon (Shirley) of Hudson; his daughter-in-law Judy Teague Cannon; his grandchildren, Richard James, Joshua, Eric, Casey, Tyler, Robert and Lee; his great grandchild Aaliyah Williams; and his siblings, Howard Cannon of Granite Falls, Charles Cannon of Granite Falls, Iva Lee Anderson of Granite Falls, Shelby Jean Starnes of Granite Falls, Shirley Spears of Hickory and Carolyn Miller of Granite Falls.
