He is survived by: his wife Sheila W. Joplin; his sons, Dwight Lofton Joplin, II (Teresa) of Granite Falls and Clint A. Joplin (Lori) of Hudson; his siblings, Sammy Joplin of Hudson, Maynard Joplin of Hudson, Ray Joplin of Hudson, David Joplin of Hudson, Larry Joplin of Hudson, Harold Dean Joplin of Granite Falls, James Joplin of Lenoir, Jean Carolyn Sherrill of Conover and Alice Faye Joplin of Hudson; and his grandchildren, Jessica, Molly, Katie, Thomas, Sally and Benjamin Joplin. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
