He was predeceased by: his parents, Wroudy Jones and Edna Earl Yates Jones. He is survived by: his wife Diana Jones; his children, Tracy Demurry of Hubert and Wroudy Jones of Pelitier; his grandchildren, Philip Demurry, Levi Jones and Reese Jones; and his siblings, Mike Jones of Swansboro and Frances Dickerson of Kinston. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
