He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Terrance, Jerryll Dean and Ruben Gandara, Sr.. He is survived by: his parents, Ruben Gandara and Anna Gandara; his brother Nathaniel Gandara; and his grandmother Tina Escajeda. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
