He was predeceased by: his mother Jessie Padgett Straughn; and his brothers, James Straughn and John David Straughn. He is survived by: his wife Hilda E. Straughn; his daughters, Marie Dennis (Jeffery) of Richlands and Stephanie Straughn of Leland; his granddaughter Kailee Dennis; his great grandchildren, Graysin and Scarlett; and his siblings, Linwood Straughn (Frances) of Richlands, Wally Straughn of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Straughn (Carol) of Virginia Beach, VA and Joyce Hemby of Richlands.
