He is survived by: his wife Irene H. Carter (Sue); his sons, Harvey Carter and Timothy Carter; his daughter-in-law Sandy Carter; his granddaughter Brooke Carter; his brother Joe Carter; and his sisters-in-law, Joyce of Hampstead and Sherry Carter of Wilmington. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
