He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin Coston Sr. and Minnie Hardison Coston; his wife Jane Marlene Thompson Coston; and his siblings, Carlton Coston, Willie Coston, Marion Dow Coston, Myrtle Bellizzi and Gladys Edens.
He is survived by: his stepmother Sally Coston; his children, Susan Mohn (Ricky) of Hampstead and Michael Coston (Joyce) of Hampstead; his grandchildren, Alicia Parker (Christopher), Khristen Longley (Chris), Zachary Mohn (Keyra James), Adam Mohn (Jessie) and Courtney Cavenaugh (Austin); and his great grandchildren, Nathan and Lucas Longley.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to Providence Baptist Church of Holly Ridge or Lower Cape Fear Life Care.
