He was predeceased by: his father Larry Hugh Hicks; and his sister Sheryll Snider. He is survived by: his mother Evelyn Dickey Hicks of Hillsborough; his son Landon Hicks of Oxford; and his siblings, Stephen David Hicks (Wendy) of Efland, Larry Hugh Hicks Jr. of Hillsborough and Joy Hayes (Andy) of Hillsborough. He is also survived by relatives, family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Hock Family Pavilion in Durham, NC.
