She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Orvis Duane Sanders and Mabel Ruffner Sanders; her husband James Hardin Sherard, Jr.; her daughter Sandra Sherard Bethea; her granddaughter Mabry Morris Spence; and her great grandchild Whitaker James Morris.
She is survived by: her daughters, Laura Gay Sherard-Mitchell (George) of Atlanta and Robin Sherard Ritchie (Jim) of Atlanta; her son-in-law Bob Bethea (Leslie) of Columbia; her grandsons, Rob Bethea (Joy) of Columbia, Hardin Bethea (Dowell) of Orlando and Tyson Morris (Kim) of Chattanooga; and her great grandchildren, Ridge, Elloise, Sanders Bethea, Hunter, Wyatt, Beau Spence, Nora, Samuel Bethea, Hardin, Veda Kate and Penny Morris.
