He is survived by: his significant other Beth Gutzweiler; his daughters, Lindsay Caye Gilliland and Adrienne Caye Chamberlin (Tray); his grandchildren, Vivienne Chamberlin, Langley Chamberlin and Finn Gilliland; and his siblings, Melinda Caye Bernt and Charles Giddings Caye, Jr..

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Highlands Food Pantry, 348 South 5th St. Highlands, NC 28741.
