He was predeceased by: his parents, Clara Francis and Paul William Shearon; and his sister Paula Phillips. He is survived by: his wife Linda Ann Shearon; his children, Lisa Shearon of Highlands, Kevin Shearon (Kristin) of Chestertown and Jason Shearon (Rita) of Jupiter, Florida; his sisters, Carol Flett (Larry) of Ft. Myers and Kathy Brown (Hal) of Charlotte; his grandchildren, Jenna Butler (Tyler) of Clayton, Matt, Ally Shearon of Chestertown, Maya and James Shearon of Jupiter, Florida; and his great grandchildren, Taylor and Jacob Butler of Clayton, Georgia..

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Jim's honor may be made to the Four Seasons Hospice of Flat Rock, North Carolina or the Episcopal Church-Incarnation of Highlands, North Carolina.

“Hi Rebecca and Paul - I have been trying to let those who knew Jim in Saudi that he passed away 11/20/2020. The outpour of condolences have been touching. He was a wonderful husband and father and loved life. He fought a good fight. He died from cancer (Multiple Myeloma), he fought it for 7 years -- unfortunately the cancer won.”
