It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Brown of Highlands, North Carolina, who passed away on July 20, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Brown and Helen O'Connell Brown. He is survived by: his wife Linda Arbuthnot Brown; his children, Courtney McConnell (Nathan) and Lauren Blake (Paul); his grandchildren, Shanley, Faith, Tiarnan, Elisabet McConnell, Harrison, Noah, Hadassah and Valor Blake; his brother Gordon Brown (Karen); and his brother-in-law Gordon Arbuthnot (Allyson). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Community Bible Church Passion Fund on honor of James "Jim" Brown, PO Box 2916 Highlands, NC 28741.
