She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Dendy and Gladys McCall Dendy. She is survived by: her husband Steven Alford; her daughter Rachel Alford Cotton (Ben); her siblings, Jack Dendy (Carolyn) of Hayesville, Mack Dendy (Robbie) of Hayesville, Carolyn Carpenter (Tommy) of Highlands and Dale Roper of Franklin; and her nieces, Janet, Laura Dendy, Jacqueline Rhew and Abigail Crabtree.
The family request in lieu of flowers that memorial donations be made to the Mount Moriah Cemetery or Appalachian Animal Rescue Center of Franklin.
