He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene C. Wood and Mary Houston Wood; his wife Betty Speed Wood; his son Michael Wood; and his siblings, Catherine Wood Jennings, Juanita Wood Burnette, Ray Wood, Charles Wood and Larry Wood.
He is survived by: his son Scott Wood of Scaly Mountain; his grandson Quinton Michael Wood of Clayton, GA; and his sister Jean Wood Taylor of Dillard, GA.
