It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Elinor Metzger of Highlands, North Carolina, born in Atlanta, Georgia, who passed away on October 30, 2020, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughters, Kathleen Shuford and Laura Doonan; her parents, Elton Sauls and Lois Sauls; her children, Carlton Shuford of Augusta, Patrick Doonan of Atlanta, Harrison and Jeanne Metzger of Mills River, N. C.; her grandchildren, Josh, Laura Shuford of Marietta, Andy, Julie Shuford, Kevin Doonan of Los Angeles, Calif, Kristan, Paul Makl of Seattle, WA., Charley Doonan of Denver, Colo., Anna and Daniella Metzger of Mills River, N. C.; and her friend Helen Moore of Highlands, N. C.. She was also cherished by four great-grandchildren.
There the staff treasured her for her sweet nature and beautiful smile, which endured even as the pandemic severely limited in-person visits with her family and friends.
