He was predeceased by: his parents, Sylvester Lynn Cook and Lillian Sloop Cook; and his siblings, Jean Cook Stikeleather and Robert Cook. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Carrigan Cook; his daughter Candice Cook Smith (David) of Morganton; his sister Joyce Cook Sweet (Johnny) of Hiddenite; his sister-in-law Janet Carrigan of Taylorsville; and his aunt Thelma Echerd of Taylorsville. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
