She was predeceased by: her father John Robert Lackey, Sr.; and her grandparents, Joseph Lackey, Effie Lackey, Robert Lyss and Elizabeth Newland.
She is survived by: her mother Linda Newland Lackey of Hiddenite; her brothers, John Lackey, Jr., Anthony Lackey (Misty) and Quinton Newland; her godchildren, Antwyne Lackey and Da'Ja White; her extended family, Dornetta Newland, Robert Lyss Newland, Jr., Jeanette Newland and Akia Rose; and her close friend Keith. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
