He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Edgar Partee Walker and Mary Frances Smith Walker; his wife Judy Lois Pennell Walker; his children, David Partee Walker (Crystal) of Statesville and Bridget Nicole Wise (Scotty) of Hiddenite; his grandchildren, Ethan Warren and Allison Wilson; his great grandchildren, Xavier Partee Poole and Silas Wilson; his brother Elvin Walker (Karen) of Hiddenite; and his aunt Sylvia Walker. He was also cherished by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
