She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond McGowan and Mary Hill McGowan; her husband William Thomas Bartlett; her son John Bartlett; and her siblings, Barbara Huff and Larry McGowan.
She is survived by: her children, Dorothy Elaine Bowles of Galax, VA, Anita Pennell (Mike) of Hiddenite, Wilma Shook of Hiddenite, Mary Cannon of Hiddenite, Timothy Bartlett (Elaine) of Durham, David Bartlett of Hiddenite and James Bartlett of Newton; and her sisters, Ruth Brooks of Burlington, Elouise Aires of Burlington and Jewel Phillips of Burlington. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren, and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
