She was predeceased by: her parents, Buford "Butch" Crouch and Winnie Mitchell Crouch; her husband William Gale Payne; and her sister Betty Crouch. She is survived by: her daughters, Sherry Owenby (John), Debbie Payne (Keith Gilleland) and Lisa Hefner (Allen); her sisters, Nancy St. Clair, Jane Bowman and Gail Davis (Wayne); her grandchildren, Taryn Slaughter (Mitchel), Justin Hefner (Pamela), Brady Hefner (Serena Russell), Bella Payne, Logan Payne and Anna Payne; and her great grandchild Maxwell Slaughter. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and special friends.
