She was predeceased by: her parents, Jirosuke Sakai and Chie Sakai; her husband Atsushi Nakajima; and her son Atsuhiko Nakajima. She is survived by: her daughter Kay Helwig (Kent) of Candler, NC; her grandchildren, Nika Briggs (Scott) of Asheville, NC, Nina Alexander (Scott Reffitt) of Hendersonville, NC, Kana Burton of New Castle, VA, Nicholas Nakajima, R. B. Terry (Rachel) of Roanoke, VA, Daniel Helwig (Natalie) of Long Beach, CA and Derek Helwig of Frisco, TX; and her great grandchildren, Olivia, Tyler, Maliah Briggs, Mia, Mei Reffitt, Benjamin, Kiernan Terry, Logan, Leah Nakajima, Dylan Lugar, Kiera, Chloe Burton and Cyrus Owen. She is also survived by her husband, children, and grandchildren.
