With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Frances Louise (Carter) McLendon (Hendersonville, North Carolina), who passed away on May 6, 2023 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Greene Nathaniel Carter of Greeneville, TN and Ollie Glovina Davis Carter of Old Fort, NC.; her husband Vernon D. McLendon; her siblings, Ruth, Iona, Glenn, Sylvia, Meacy, Betty Lou, Austin, James, Junior, Samuel and Hazel; and her daughter-in-law Norma Jean McLendon.
She is survived by: her sons, Vernon D. McLendon, Jr. of Smithfield, NC and Larry E. McLendon (Sandra) of Taylors, SC; her grandchildren, Eddie Mclendon (Heather), Jeannine Quiller (Brock), Scott Mclendon (Heather), Shelley Johnson (Gary) and Adam McLendon (Joni); and her sister Shirley Culbertson (Albert). She is also survived by eight great grandchildren; three great great granddaughters.
