She was predeceased by: her parents, Erasto Chavez and Frances Chavez; her husband Donald George Gerleve; and her siblings, Arthur Chavez, Ralph Chavez, Consuelo "Connie" Reyes and Carmela Chavez.
She is survived by: her sons, Russell Gerleve (Margaret) of Alexander, NC and Eric Gerleve (Tanda) of Spartanburg, SC; her siblings, Gerardo "Jerry" Chavez (Eloise Turney) of Chicago, IL, Helen Zermeno of San Antonio, TX, Aurora Chavez of Chicago, IL and Marcella Ramirez of Hometown, IL; and her grandson Ryan Gerleve of Cary, NC. She is also survived by many nieces, nephew, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Kitty favored charities benefiting children, so in lieu of flowers, such a donation would be welcomed.
