He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Patterson, Sr. and Maybell Ledford Patterson; his wife Pollie Sue Deweese Patterson; his daughter Ginger Maney; his siblings, Randy Patterson, Robin Patterson, Mildred Nichols and Hildred Nichols; and his granddaughter Natasha Taylor.
He is survived by: his children, Robert Patterson (Kelli), Joel Patterson (Kathy) and Lisa Vonlinsowe (Keith); his siblings, Michael Patterson, Terry Patterson, Steve Patterson, Susie Patterson and Janie Barnes; and his grandchildren, Kalyee Cole, Bobby Patterson, Alex Maney, Ryan Maney, Shyanne Larch, Landon Botzler, Jaythan Burrell, Kristy Kelley and Aaron Youngbird. He is also survived by several great granchildren; and nieces and nephews.
