She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Manuel and Sarah Woodard McGaha; her spouse Claude Woodard; and her siblings, Emma Hogsed, Florence Penland, Nell Boyd and Garland McGaha.
She is survived by: her daughters, Claudia Newby of Spring City and Vickie Lowe; her grandchildren, Jeff Lowe of Hayesville, Zak Lowe (Kristy) of Hayesville, Bob Newby (Kathy) of Spring City, Mark Newby of Spring City and Dustin Newby of Spring City, Tennessee; and her great grandchild Whitley Lowe. She is also survived by five step-great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made in memory of Mae M. Woodard to Mount Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery fund, 50 Marvin Cabe Lane Hayesville, North Carolina 28904.
