He was predeceased by: his parents, Otto Michael and Marie Bertha Laley Kleiss. He is survived by: his wife Mary M. Kleiss; his children, Barbara Kleiss (John Files) of Clinton, Linda Kleiss of Palatine, Laura Kleiss Hoeft of Hayesville and Matthew Kleiss of Hayesville; his grandchildren, Jacob Kleiss Files, Kaleb Kleiss Hoeft (Malina Swayne) and Kaley Hinshaw (Jacob Hinshaw); and his great grandchild Atticus Swayne Hoeft.
