He is survived by: his wife Janie Patterson Barnes; his children, Gary Barnes (Sabrina), Jackie Barnes (Jamie), Johnny Barnes and Jennifer Waltzek (Chris); his sisters, Mattie Jo Ledford and Elva Rogers; his grandchildren, Ellyana, Nicholas Wilson, Tabitha, Natalie, Eliza Barnes, Samuel and Benjamin Waltzek; and his friend Johnny Marr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, friends, and a brother.
