He is survived by: his siblings, Jeanne, Carol, Jimmie Ann, David, Francis and Boyd, Jr.; his wife Deborah of Young Harris, Georgia; his children, Greg D. Day (Linda) and JoBeth Bock (Joe); his granddaughters, Amanda Barbe (Josh), Joanna Pereira (Oliver), Elizabeth Gill (Paul) and Amy Bock; his stepmother-in-law Susan L. Kidwell; his siblings-in-law, Karen Mutcher, Anna White, Dianne Hamilton, David Kidwell and Charles E. Kidwell; and his grandchildren, Windi Almanza (Hugo), Danielle, Kelsey Howerton and Elizabeth Abrams. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
