He is survived by: his wife Shirely Owenby Garrett; his children, Nathan Garrett (Kim) and Carla Garrett-Ledford (Tommy); his grandchildren, Kensley Murray (Hunter) and Kaden Ledford; and his sisters, Dorothy Scroggs, Rita Slaton, Patricia Maney and Evelyn Wright. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
