She was predeceased by: her parents, James Willard and Stella Monkus Whitaker; her siblings, Charles Whitaker and Betty Parker; and her granddaughter Racheal Burrell.
She is survived by: her husband Ronnie Burrell; her children, Thomas Michael Bright (Stephanie), Tammy Gregg (Brian) and Michelle Burrell; her sister Christine Roach (Charlie); her grandchildren, Jessica Ellis (Nathan), Zachary Gregg (Rebekah), Adam Watkins (Emily), Autumn Bright and Madison Bright; and her great grandchildren, Brian, Samantha, Savanna, Samuel and Gabriel.
