She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe Whitley and Pearl Whitley; her husband Kilby "Tommy" Guthrie; and her son James Milton Hill. She is survived by: her daughters, Jo Annette Mason of Beaufort and Marie Willis (Robert Wayne) of Harkers Island; and her grandchildren, Justin Mason (Elie) of Raleigh, Hayley Mason of Raleigh, Jordan Willis (Meredith) of Atlantic and Kelly Willis.
