It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Milton James Arter of Hampstead, North Carolina, born in Saint Louis, Missouri, who passed away on June 23, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Arter and Helena Brammeier Arter; and his sister Arleen Cramer-Omerod. He is survived by: his significant other Mary Martha Ellis; his children, Jim Arter (Paula) and Kimberly (Neal Ross); his grandchildren, Seth Arter, Jesse Ross, Nolan Ross and Samuel Ross; and his child Revolutionary.
In lieu of flowers send memorial donations in the name of Milton Arter to the St. Jude Hospital, at https://www.stjude.org A small private ceremony will be held in the Kenan Chapel in the First Presbyterian Church in Wilmington followed by the interment of Milton Arter at the columbarium at the church.
