She was loved and cherished by many people including: her daughter Jessie; her mother Peterson; her husband Slover J. Peterson; her son Commissioner Billy Kornegay; her grandson Michael Chapman; her daughters, Mary, Laura Ann and Judy; and her siblings, Fannie Lou, Alice, Cora Lee, Patricia, Bud, Lyn, Chester and George. She was also cherished by 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
